CMA Clay is a 47-piece porcelain dinnerware collection developed in close collaboration with 1616 / arita japan and three ceramic workshops in Arita. Created over three years of research, dialogue, and prototyping, the collection balances precision and tactility through a mix of flat, deep, low, and tall forms. Designed for both Japanese and European tables, it uses Arita’s renowned porcelain clay in two expressions—classic chalk white and raw natural grey—finished with a combination of glazed and unglazed surfaces.
