Tea Cup Handle

Teruhiro Yanagihara has created a new series of ceramics inspired by Arita pottery, utilizing a unique, high-density clay made from crushed stone that is strong, heat-resistant, and stain-resistant without glaze. This series features a distinctive light grey, matte finish. Yanagihara’s designs promote versatility, allowing items to serve multiple functions and stack efficiently. For instance, square plates can function as trays, small round plates can act as lids, bowls can hold both Japanese rice and Western cereals, and a small cup can serve both Italian espresso and Japanese sake.
